Highly-functionalized piperidine synthesis through a condensation of primary amine, nitro alkene, and enone

An convenient method for synthesis multi-functionalized pepiridine was developed through the condensation of primary amine, beta-nitro styrene and enone. Not only high yield and mild conditions for the reaction, high to excellent diastereoselectivity was obtained.
