| An update and an overview of the federallitigation by several states against a number of pharmaceutical companies for knowingly inflating their reported Prescription drug prices to the Medicare program. This caused the Medicare program to give excessive reimbursements to pharmacists for drugs that they prescribed. The pharmaceutical companies allegedly marketed to pharmacists the fact that they overstated their prices to Medicare which would allow the pharmacists to get a windfall compared to the actual costs of the drugs. |
