| Maintaining an environment in which innovation can flourish is a fundamental concern in antitrust, just as the encouragement of innovation is a fundamental concern in intellectual property law. Antitrust and intellectual property are and should be viewed as complementary policies. Enthusiasm for antitrust and its ultimate focus on the consumer should not undermine the protections of intellectual property law and thereby diminish the incentives to innovate. |
