Because of both CO2 and CH4 are green-house gases their catalytic interaction with producing synthesis-gas attracts an attention for a long period. The 5% Ñî-Ì/SiO2 catalysts (M - VIII Group Metal) have been prepared by sol-gel method from TEOS, appropriate salts, water, ethanol, water, and nitric acid and tested in dry reforming of methane by carbon dioxide. The physico-chemical properties of catalysts have been determined by Electron Microscopy, BET, and IR- spectroscopy. The nano-sized (3-5 nm) Co-containing catalysts with a high BET surface - 550-755 m2/g have been synthesized by sol-gel method. The conditions for formation of stable bimetallic nano-sized particles have been determined. It has been established that acidity of medium should be increased to prevent the formation of metal black during sol-gel transformation. It has been found that the Co-Rh/SiO2 catalyst prepared by sol-gel show the high activity in dry reforming of methane.
