We designed to fabricate novel cellulose-based photocurrent generation systems using cellulose as a scaffold basically consisting of electron Donor (D), Sensitizer (S) and Acceptor by the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method, mimicking electron transport chain in natural photosynthetic process. Then, we succeeded in the first photocurrent generation of the cellulosic LB films.
