| The Southwestern College chapter of Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society has been actively involved in numerous activities throughout the San Diego, CA region. These activities include outreach to K-12 students, attendance at meetings of the San Diego Section of the ACS, inviting speakers to give presentations at Southwestern College, arranging field trips for chapter members to scientific institutions, and participating in environmental cleanup and monitoring. These various events are designed and organized to promote chemistry to youth within the community and to inspire and engage Southwestern College students to pursue educations and careers in various fields of chemistry and other sciences. |
