I have been using POGIL approaches in my introductory organic class for many years. This year it was possible to provide each POGIL class group recorder with a tablet PC to complete the recorder's report electronically. The group tablet together with general classroom support software has changed the dynamics of our classroom interactions.

The software allows the instructor to continuously monitor all group recorders' records as class progresses. Group presentations in class can be facilitated by directly projecting recorder's reports. The instructor can annotate the reports to support whole class discussion and each day's final recorder's reports are submitted electronically. These final reports are then assessed by the instructor and posted, with comments, on the class website for students to review before the next class. Various advantages and frustrations of this complete implementation of group tablet PCs and student response to the implementation will be discussed.
