Our club sponsors a variety of fun and educational activities for our members and the community we live in. When our chapter visits schools to perform chemistry demonstrations and host discussions about the significance of science in our everyday lives, we are opening the minds of young prospective students, not only to chemistry, but to science as a whole. We participate in community service projects that are not related to science, such as our school's Golden Harvest, to help and interact with a more diverse population -- not just college students majoring in the sciences. Our club raises money to help members attend scientific meetings by selling lab coats and T-shirts and other fund-raising activities. We plan to continue our mission for years to come so that future generations of students appreciate the significance and importance of chemistry, not only to their careers, but also their everyday lives.
