| Saint Louis University Chemistry Club strives to spread awareness and knowledge of chemistry throughout campus and in the community. Chemistry club members participate in community service projects such as merit badge clinics, Make a Difference Day, Chili and Science Night, Expanding Your Horizons, and Ooey Gooey Gross. We also help celebrate National Chemistry Week at the Science Center. On campus, we are involved in the Student Activities Fair, Careers in Chemistry Day, and painting/constructing of a large periodic table. Members also take part in site visits to local companies such as Monsanto and Anheuser Busch. In order to raise funds, we sell T-shirts, ACS study guides, and goggles. We also plan several parties and picnics during the year. The SLU Chemistry Club Chapter received an Outstanding award from the ACS for their activities during the 2006-2007 academic year. |
