| Understanding the multifaceted nature of chemistry is very important for those who wish to pursue a career in chemistry. By being exposed to several different areas of chemistry, students can find a particular area that best suits their interests. This would increase the liklihood of their success in pursuing chemistry. In keeping with the 2007-08 ACS theme, “The Many Faces of Chemistry,” we have helped thousands of people via our outreach programs understand the potential and importance of pursuing a career in chemistry. All of our outreach and community service programs are funded by ACS grants, UPT allocations, and by our Chemistry Club's members who put unbelievable time and energy into fund raising, project development, and execution. The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville's Chemistry Club plays a pivotal role in the ACS Erie Section's Millcreek Mall NCW Expo. Because of our efforts, we have received several national, state, and local recognitions. |
