The rapidly evolving field of biotechnology has opened up a vast number of career opportunities for students. Over the past decade, investments in the industry have increased by 500% as innovative technologies continue to flood the market. Unfortunately, this plethora of opportunities remains undiscovered by many students. To help expose students to the field of biotechnology we have developed the Biotechnology Interdisciplinary Student Association (BISA). BISA is an interdisciplinary, student facilitated organization with the aim of educating peers on careers within the field of biotechnology and inciting interest in this thriving industry. Through membership services, community outreach and networking, BISA enables its members to explore the many components within the field of biotechnology such as science, business, law, medicine, and public policy.
