The Minnesota State University Moorhead Chemistry club worked with the Churches United for the Homeless to volunteer our time for others. We also participated in the National Alzheimer's Memory Walk and the homecoming day parade (creating a float carrying our school's mascot while keeping with the theme of chemistry). For National Chemistry Week, we sponsored a question of the day trivia game for the students to compete for prizes from our campus bookstore. For Halloween, Chemistry Club participated in a couple of outreach events. Halloween night, we participated in an on-campus haunted hall and exhibited several chemical reactions to excite the crowd. We participated in an assembly that gave grade school students the opportunity watch a lot of interesting reactions. Throughout the rest of the year MSUM Chemistry Club plans to help others, promote MSUM, and get as many people as we can as excited about science as we are.
