| The Chemistry Department of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania has been taking steps to successfully secure ACS certification. In order to strengthen our curricula and adequately prepare our students with skills they will need in the workplace, we have developed a sequence of three, one-credit courses designed to round out our students' education. The first two courses cover safety issues and introduce students to the chemical literature. The third course, in which students are expected to demonstrate their mastery of chemistry, provides a capstone experience. The content, organization, and challenges of providing these course offerings will be presented. |
