| Green principles of chemistry and engineering have the revolutionary power to transform society through the manner in which scientists do business, and the choices that we, together with our fellow citizens, make to improve our society. The education of green scientists, engineers and citizens will remove the artificial construct that place economics at odds with environmental stewardship allowing for increased sustainability of health and wealth. Although the importance of green chemistry is clear and its applicability is obvious, the development and expansion of accompanying curriculum has been slow. Herein we discuss innovative green analytical chemical developments as well as the development of green curriculum for both introductory and advanced undergraduate analytical courses. |
