The Florida International University - Biscayne Bay Campus Science Club, in conjunction with the biology and chemistry departments, has an innovative program that allows the members to receive experience that would otherwise be unavailable. To qualify for this program, students must have a competitive GPA and and master courses in their respective majors. The student members who qualify in this program receiv the opportunity to become laboratory teaching assistants in their respective majors. Currently, we have mentored students who teach in general biology, human physiology, human biology, survey of chemistry, general chemistry, and organic chemistry laboratories. This is an experience that allows our members to acquire many different skills and explore their strengths. The high quality of their performance has been recognized by the students and the faculty, as well.
