Chemical Bingo is a chemical educational tool designed to introduce the periodic table in an entertaining manner to schools. The apparatus is a model of a reaction beaker with a large fan for mixing the periodic ping pong balls. Several designs were evaluated and a large,fan-based beaker model was used. The beaker is filled with balls that have a symbol of an element printed on them. During play, balls are withdrawn and the corresponding element is called. All the participants have a periodic table with several elements highlighted. The object is to cover all of one's highlighted symbols then call bingo. While calling out the elements, brief discussions on the element are given while awaiting the marking. Chemical bingo was a group design and analysis project with volunteer participants.
