What distinguishes a POGIL laboratory from a traditional laboratory? What are the criteria for POGIL lab experiments? What is unique about the POGIL laboratory text material? How does student laboratory work in a POGIL setting differ from that in conventional approaches? How does POGIL lab work relate to lecture content? What roles do the instructor play in the POGIL laboratory experience? Answers to these and other questions as well as examples of POGIL experiments and experiment outcomes will be used as a springboard for a discussion about using Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning in the laboratory.
