The change in mass as a function of termperature will be measured for various compounds by means of thermo-gravimetric analysis. These compounds include calcium oxalate, sodium oxalate, cotton fabric, and magnesium acetate. Energy changes for processes that occur as temperature is increased will be measured for materials such as polystyrene, potassium nitrate, and potassium chromate. This will be measured by means of Differential Thermal Analysis.
