POGIL activities for Physical Chemistry were implemented as a part of reviewing tools in the lecture-based learning environment. Survey revealed that students originally preferred the traditional lecture-style learning environment, but their preference did not reflect on their performance. As a result, POGIL activities were used to compliment the lecture-style learning environment. In this talk, the successful implementation of POGIL as a reviewing tool for conceptually difficult topics for students will be presented.
