Synthesis and characterization of bisamine boron cations from amine-boranes and N,N-dimethylglycine ethyl ester

Two new boron-containing cations, dihydro(N,N-dimethylglycine ethyl ester)(pyridine)boron(1+) and dihydro(N,N-dimethylglycine ethyl ester)(trimethylamine)boron(1+), were synthesized from amine-boranes (pyridine-borane and trimethylamine-borane) and N,N-dimethylglycine ethyl ester. These cations were characterized by NMR, IR, elemental analysis, and melting point.
