SAACS at University of St. Thomas has received awards for the past eight years. We accomplished this by publicizing and holding regular meetings; planning interesting activities for members; and interacting with the Local ACS section and the community. This year, we have the most members ever. We hosted two ACS Workshops on campus. We sponsored outside speakers, helped organize a career forum for mathematics and natural sciences, and visited several local industrial facilities. We sponsored and served free hamburgers and hot dogs for the campus (with Tri Beta) along with our Mole Day Activities; planned and performed demos at the Houston Children's Museum for NCW; and held demos at schools with other local organizations. We went to the Chicago National ACS Meeting and plan to attend Pittcon and the ACS Meeting in New Orleans. Social interactions are important and we have end of semester banquets with other science and health related organizations.
