The University of Southern Maine's Chemistry Club has been actively involved in community outreach and campus wide activities for 15 years. In 2006, the Chemistry Club was voted the Best Student Organization by the Board of Student Organizations. The Club has continued to foster interest in science by presenting chemical demonstration shows throughout the southern Maine region. This year to add depth and strengthen the presence of USM's scientific community at the campus level, the club is collaborating with USM's Biology and Physics Clubs. The trio of student groups has joined forces to promote science at USM and to engage scientific projects together.
