The adsorption isotherms and adsorption kinetics of Ni (II) ions on Na-ZSM-5 was investigated. And then the experimental data followed the Langmuir, Freundlich isotherms. Thermodynamic parameters free energy, enthalpy and entropy, have also been evaluated and the results show that the sorption processes were spontaneous and endothermic in nature. Compared with the pseudo-first-order kinetic model, these sorption processes follow the pseudo-second-order kinetic model best. The rate constants of this kinetic model for all the adsorption processes increase with the temperature ranging from 298 K to 318 K. All the work provides the base for the following study of catalyst synthesizing.
