After three years of organization and growth, the Student Affiliates Chapter at Cornell College is making a rapid expansion into the surrounding community. With a stable infrastructure in place, we have turned our attention to sparking interest in chemistry among non-majors on campus and in the local school system. Field trips to visit chemists in local industries have also served to fuel interest in our chapter. We will present on our success with demonstrations (including exploding pumpkins and frozen beer), the places we have visited, and our plans for the future of our chapter.
