Implementing POGIL in an advanced course, especially one without available materials, can be a daunting task. I began this process three years ago and have still not fully integrated POGIL into my biochemistry courses, primarily because of the need to develop my own activities and the continual revision of those activities that occurs from year to year. This talk will offer a basic strategy for introducing POGIL-style active learning to an advanced course and lessons I have learned from my implementation.
