Recent events in the toy industry concerning the recall of toys, including companies such as Mattel, initiated the interest in this project. The project began with the purchase of toy cars from a discount store to see if these stores are being overlooked in recall of toys containing lead. The toy cars were scrapped of their paint and quantitatively measured using AA and ICP. Results of this study will be presented.
