| The Chemistry Student Association at UT Dallas is a dynamic organization involved in community and on-campus activities. Members enjoy participating in the organization for a variety of reasons including our community outreach, social, and academic events. Weekly meetings are well-attended and include refreshments and interactive activities and guest speakers. We maintain close ties with Texas Instruments and the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science, where we regularly participate in outreach events. Crucial to our success is involvement with the chemistry department that has given us the opportunity to take weekly department seminar speakers to lunch. Most importantly, funds are raised through goggle, laser pen, and chemistry software sales prior to each semester. Other important events include our annual Kids in Chemistry program (featured in the Dallas Morning News and local television), faculty vs. undergraduate broomball match, semesterly BBQ, and National Chemistry Week events. |
