In the American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Affiliate Chapter at the University of Puerto Rico at Aguadilla (UPRAG), we apply the learning and experiences in Chemistry to our careers. Our members focus on pursuing biological sciences careers in areas that have a strong impact on chemistry. The experiences and knowledge gathered through our involvement in the ACS-Student Chapter allow us to better visualize our professional careers. Our active participation in the ACS has helped us obtain and develop various tools and skills communication, critical thinking, leadership, team work skills and ethical values. This has made us grow academically and personally and will be important our future profession and goals. A good understanding and experience in chemistry will help us better understand the chemistry in biology, and will enable us to provide the scientific community and our society with more precise knowledge and information in our profession.
