Chemical teaching software, CHEM RESOURCES, was developed by Nanjing University, published by Higher Education Press and launched on the web by Chinese Education Ministry, opening and sharing for “College Chemistry” and “Inorganic Chemistry” teachers of universities. The software provided not only the materials, but also provided the content standard. There are main nine subjects (databases) in the software, including Basic Chemistry Principles, Element Chemistry, Carbon and Organic Compound, Nuclear Chemistry, Macromolecules, Chemical Experiments, Chemical frontiers, Cutting-edge Chemistry, Chemical landscape, Related Knowledge. These element materials database, including Text, Pictures (Figures), Sounds, Views and Animations resources. Each huge resource contains a number of corresponding information and available materials. The teachers can also upload the useful materials into the website for sharing and holding a “seminar” to discuss questions on the website. The opening of the CHEM RESOURCES will promote the chemistry interlibrary loan, enhance online-resource sharing and professional training and play a more important role in the Chemistry education and teaching. In our university, the chemical teaching class is now much more active with the CHEM RESOURCES materials than before.
