| The preparation of poly(arylethynyl) nanoparticles by Sonogashira coupling in aqueous emulsion is reported. A 1,4-diethynyl-2,5-bis(alkoxy)benzene, and 1,4-dibromo-2,5-bis(2-ethylhexyloxy)benzene were employed as monomers. Stable dispersions of high molecular weight fluorescent polymers were obtained. A functioning OLED was fabricated from such a dispersion. |
