University of Michigan ACS-SA: Past, present and future

In 2006-2007, the dwindling ACS Student Affiliates Chapter at the University of Michigan grew into a passionate organization with 15 registered Student Affiliates and hundreds more unregistered participants, earning an Honorable Mention and Green Chemistry Certification from ACS in one year. Through the efforts of a hard-working group of visionary officers, the group continues to spread chemistry awareness and education through an array of outreach activities, from public demonstrations to private tutoring. This presentation will trace the history of the group, detail the present state of the group, and suggest what the future of the group may hold.
