Chemist's pallette: Using art to advance chemistry understanding

What do paper marbling, egg dyeing, Japanese suminagashi, and light activated dyes have in common? They can be aesthetically pleasing, emotionally provoking, and fun doing, but above all, they ARE chemistry! This presentation will share several chemistry lessons that can be used to help students of all ages gain an understanding of fundamental chemistry concepts.
