Phosphinomethylamines, synthesis of a simple hydrogenase mimic

We will report the synthesis of Ph2PCH2NPh2, a simple hydrogenase mimic. Additionally, we will report the synthesis of the Ni(II) complex, [Ni(triphos)CH3CN](BF4)2 (triphos = PhP(CH2CH2PPh2)2) and its initial metal-coordination reactions with Ph2PCH2NPh2.
