Polymer-mediated self-assembly of nanoparticles is a versatile and modular approach to the creation of nanostructured thin films and nanocomposite materials. We have developed a number of methodologies that provide nanostructured and nanopatterned materials. In our ongoing research, we are integrating these bottom-up self-assembly strategies with fabrication strategies to create functional devices and materials. The formation, properties, and applications of these materials will be discussed.
