Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) have a few advantages over single-walled carbon nanotubes, such as easy to preparation, no bundling phenomenon, larger diameter, etc. In this presentation, aligned MWNTs, nitrogen-doped MWNTs, MWNTs with intramolecular junctions, MWNTs coated with alumina as gate dielectrics and MWNTs uniformly assembled with high-density Au nanoparticles on their surface were prepared. These MWNTs were applied in electronic devices, for example, field emission, rectifiers and field-effect transistors. Electronic properties of these devices are discussed in term of chemical structures of the MWNTs employed.
