| I've been employed as a chemical technician for nearly 20 years, the last 11 years at S.C. Johnson and Son, Inc (SCJ) in Racine, Wisconsin. As a Senior Lab Technician for the Home Cleaners Division, I work in the Pilot Plant where my primary role is to ensure that small laboratory-scale batches can be scaled up to large commercial size batches in manufacturing. Additionally, I plan and conduct pilot scale process experiments, collect and analyze experimental data, produce home cleaning products, and provide product registration support. I am the author of 13 standard operating procedures for pilot plant safety, operations and equipment. During my career, I've had numerous opportunities to work with scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel. In 1987, I received an A.A.S degree in Chemical Technology from Milwaukee Area Technical College. |
