| The Wilkes University Chemistry Club is dedicated to having fun with chemistry. The chemical demonstrations are not only for educational purposes, but they are done because they are engaging for demonstrators and audience. Part of that fun is community service activities which in the past have stuck to the tried and true method of going to the same school every year and participating in events already held by the university. This year, the chemistry club also plans to go to a children's psychiatric ward. The members, in addition to having a good time helping with functions, work in the Wilkes University Chemistry Department as T.A.s and tutors. As a reward for hard work the chemistry club plans enjoyable trips; for example the club is going to the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia, PA this year. |
