| A career in the pharmaceutical industry offers an opportunity to be involved in scientific innovation to improve health outcomes for patients around the world. This sector is an important employment base for ACS members as shown by 21.6% of chemists working in pharmaceutical & related manufacturing in the 2005 ChemCensus data. Career opportunities, with a particular emphasis on the role of organic and analytical chemistry in discovering and developing new medicine, will be highlighted. |
