| Starting one's own business with nothing more than a dream and a credit card and very little understanding of the business world is like jumping into a pit of vipers and learning by fire. I started my curriculum business with some songs I had written while teaching chemistry. Over the last 8 years, those songs have evolved into a full-fledged multiple intelligence curriculum package, unique in the world of education. In addition to songs, there are colorful slide shows, dramatic acting exercises, extensive use of dance and sign language, well-developed worksheets and manipulative activities and a large teaching manual. HOLY MOL-EE! Chemistry is now a strong product which is being marketed and sold to schools and school districts throughout the world. The road has been rocky and precarious, with many harsh lessons along the way, both financially and otherwise. I can now see light at the end of the tunnel. |
