Needs for smart nanoparticles in advanced medical applications have become evident and PRINT (Particle Replication In Non-wetting Templates) holds great promise to be the foundation for next generation therapies. PRINT affords the unique opportunity to fabricate non-disperse nanoparticles with orthogonal control over particle size, shape, and composition. Biologically relevant cargos can be incorporated without sacrificing function and a wide range of available particle compositions makes a variety of cellular targeting and release strategies possible.
