Different sample systems with one or two fluorescing components were studied for observed fluorescence intensity under the influence of inner filter effect (IFE). Fluorescence intensities were measured for several series of solutions of different solutes, different solvents, at different excitation and emission wavelengths. Samples with primary IFE only and samples with both primary and secondary IFEs are investigated. A simple method was proposed for correction of IFE. By using the correction factors we obtained, the linear range of corrected fluorescence is significantly improved as compared to previous works.
