| In order to identify different ways to enhance student learning and foster participation in the general chemistry courses, various delivery methods were used in the classroom. A four-semester survey of general chemistry students was conducted. The findings suggest that a mix of delivery methods plus assignments along with more student- focused instructor approach go a long way in creating an optimum learning environment. The survey findings and their implications will be presented.
