National Chemistry Week (NCW) is one of the ACS' main community outreach programs. Thousands of volunteers have spent countless hours helping others celebrate NCW over the past twenty-years. This poster will highlight many volunteers that have been involved with this program. The Office of Community Activities recognizes the job well-done by the volunteers through two programs: Salutes to Excellence and ChemLuminary Awards for National Chemistry Week. The Salutes program recognizes the positive impact made by volunteers with the presentation of a commemorative plaque. The ChemLuminary Awards for National Chemistry Week, formerly the Phoenix Awards, recognize local sections that have demonstrated exemplary performance in the development and implementation of outstanding activities in support of NCW. See how these resources have been used over the past 20-years to recognize those who have helped make NCW a success and how you can use them to enhance outreach and encourage volunteer participation in your area.
