| Through the formation of partnerships with area professional societies, non-profit organizations, corporations, student affiliates, and secondary schools, the Pittsburgh Section of the American Chemical Society has developed an outstanding tradition of celebrating NCW. This presentation will focus on how these partnerships have had a positive impact on the Pittsburgh Section's community outreach activities in three key areas; revitalizing member participation in community outreach efforts; increasing the participation of underrepresented minority groups in science discovery and outreach programming; and improving community involvement in outreach activities so as to reach a wider audience . You are invited to come and learn some of the best practices the Pittsburgh Section has used over the past 20 years to celebrate NCW! |
