| A lot of dewatered oil sludge, generated in the disposal process of oil-containing sewage, should be remedied to be harmless. A bioremediation of the dewatered oil sludge on a scale of 960 m3 was carried out in a prepared bed in Binyi oil-containing sewage disposal station, Shengli oil fields, China. Four kinds of different treatments were made to study the influence of some process parameters on the bioremediation effect. 52.75% of the petroleum contaminants were degraded within 160d in treatment in a greenhouse, while the oil contamination decreased 15.46% in the untreated sludge. The variation of the physical and chemical properties of oil sludge and the amount and the population of microbes in sludge were characterized. The results indicated that the water-holding capacity of oil sludge, the amount, the diversity and the degradation activity of microorganisms in sludge increased markedly compared with the control. |
