New soluble poly(2,7-carbazole)s and polyindolo[3,2-b]carbazoles have been synthesized with good oxygen stability. Two new side chain have been used to increase the solubility. Some polymers, poly(2,7-carbazole-alt-5,5'-bithiophene) and poly(3,9-indolo[3,2-b]carbazole) demonstrated some organization as shown by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarized optical microscopy (POM) making them promising candidate for TFT. Up to now, mobility as high as 2.10-3 cm2/V.s have been obtained and further optimization are under progress.
