A fast and reliable method to determine the concentration of HM-EO in aqueous solution

Hyamine modified HM-EO(N-R-HM-EO, R=Me,Et,n-Bu)was prepared by the reaction between HM-EO and superfluous alkyl halide under the conditions of low temperature, stirring and ultrasonic treatment. By using acetone as cosolvent, and coomassic brilliant blue G250 as color-developing agent, fast and reliable spectrophotometric method was established to determine the concentration of polymer in queous solution. the dosage of the color-developing agent and reation time was optimized. And it was proved that the inorganic salt had no disturb on the measurement. The accuracy and precision of the method was higher than that of gravimetric method.
