Three new rhenium polyhydride complexes, ReH₇(L₂), incorporating bidentate organophosphorus ligands (L₂ = xantphos; biphep and DPEphos), were successfully synthesized by treatment of the corresponding ReOCl₃(L₂) precursor with excess LiAlH₄.  The complexes were characterized by IR, variable temperature ¹H and ³¹P NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
