| It has been known that the amounts of trace metals in human plasma are inversely related with the occurrences of gum infection. Thus, manganese is considered to have inhibiting effect on gum infection. On the other hand, trace of manganese can also interfere with anti-tooth-decay of fluorine. Therefore, it is very important to determine manganese level in human body. A new spectrophotometric method has been developed for determination of manganese in human plasma and hair. The method is rapid and highly selective and sensitive. The detail results will be presented. |
