SiO2/PS core/shell nanospheres were prepared by a single-step O/W emulsion system using a self-templating method, and the morphologies of hybrid nanospheres were examined with scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscope(TEM). The particle size distribution of nanoparticles was measured by particle size analyzer. The characteristic of self-templating method is all reactions can be finished in “one step”, which exempt from removing the template, and the product is of high purity, not needing further process to purify.
